1. How can I track the Status of my KYC Application??

2. Why is it recommended to compress certain documents before upload?

Raw scanned files/documents such as Audited Financial Statements, Evidence of Trade, and Data page of Directors are usually large, it is recommended to compress your PDF files before upload for a seamless user experience.

3. What is the maximum file size for document upload?

Most of the documents have a 1MB file upload limit; however, a few such as endorsed audited account, evidence of trades, etc. have up to 4MB file upload limit.

4. Which documents are not compulsory for submission?

Listed documents not asterisked are non-compulsory but would support submissions. You may upload them if available, but your application can proceed without them.

5. Which specific local documents are required for Nigerian Companies?

For local applicants, you must include a valid CAC Status Report (dated not later than 3 months) and valid certificates such as PENCOM Certificate, NSITF Certificate, and ITF Certificate.

6. What are the trade evidence requirements for Foreign vs. Nigerian Crude/NGLs & Products companies?

Foreign Companies must provide evidence of trade over the last three (3) years. Nigerian Companies must provide evidence of trade over the last ten (10) years. The trade history can be presented in a table for the period requested. Documents that serve as evidence include but are not limited to; BLs, LCs, invoices, certification of quantities, inspection reports, trade contracts, receipts e.tc.

7. Where can I find the correct list of documents to upload?

The document requirements are organized by Commodity Stream (e.g., Crude, NGLs & Products; LNG; DLPG; New Refinery) and grouped on the Home Page under clear headings: Incorporation documents, Financial documents, Technical documents, and Local Regulatory Documents (for Nigerian companies). Please refer to the specific list for your commodity stream.

8. Is Notarization a key requirement?

All documents shall be notarized, attested, or apostilled, in accordance with the legal requirements of the relevant jurisdiction

9. Is Tax clearance upload required for a company in a Tax-Free Zone?

Yes. A valid tax exemption certificate or proof of freezone tax-exempt status is sufficient.

10. Is Audited Financial Statement Uploaded required for publicly listed companies?

Yes, publicly listed companies are required to submit Audited Financial statements, or relevant published annual reports as required

11. What are examples of “other relevant documents” applicable to this application?
